Presentation Guidelines
Guidelines for Oral Session
- Total presentation time: 15 minutes
- Presentation: 12 minutes
- Q&A: 3 minutes
- Please rename your presentation file using the following format:
Room No._Session_Submission ID
For example, if your room is Rozanski 105, your session is Technical Session II, and your submission ID is 98, your file name should be:
Rozanski 105_II_98
- Please upload your presentation slides through the link: Upload Presentation Documents – CFE Conference
- If you do not wish to upload your slides or are unable to do so, please bring your presentation on a USB drive at least 30 minutes before your session and hand it to the Session Chair.
- All presentation slides will be kept confidential and permanently deleted after the conference.
Guidelines for Poster Session
- Total presentation time: 7 minutes
- Poster dimensions: Maximum size is 36″ × 48″, portrait orientation.
- Please set up your poster on the designated poster stand at your assigned location at least 30 minutes before the session.
Showcase Your Poster on PosterPitch for a Chance to Win One of Three $100 Prizes
- All students presenting at CFEC 2026 are invited to showcase their research posters on PosterPitch, a research-sharing platform already used by University of Guelph students, including at previous CFEC events.
- PosterPitch allows students and early-career researchers to showcase, discover, and archive posters digitally, helping extend the visibility of their research beyond the conference.
- Students can view posters from previous CFEC conferences on the app and are encouraged to upload their posters in advance of the presentation and judging on May 15. Participation is optional.
- All students who showcase their research on the app will be entered into a draw to win one of three $100 prizes.
- The app is available at https://posterpitch.com or through the App Store using the QR code.
