A Tradition of Excellence

The Canadian Food Engineering Conference (CFEC) originated in 2023 as the Guelph Food Engineering Conference (GFEC). It was established to foster localized synergy between academia and the food industry. Hosted by the University of Guelph, which is a premier institution in Food Science and Technology, the event quickly gained momentum. Following its successful transition to a national platform in 2025, CFEC 2026 marks a transformative milestone as we ascend to the international stage.

What began as a regional gathering has evolved into a global summit that unites researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the world. Our mission remains steadfast: to bridge the gap between innovation and application while addressing critical global challenges in food safety, sustainability, and the digitalization of agri-food systems.
